LIMITED FLEXIBILITY WHILE BENDING OVER

Exercise step by step

  1. Objective: Strengthening the back so you can do garden work without kneeling.

  2. Starting Position: Place a weight in front of your feet. Spread your legs apart so your feet are under your hips. Bend your knees slightly while remaining upright.

  3. Movement: Round your back and slowly and carefully bend forwards while rolling your spine one vertebra at a time.
    Lift the weight, unrolling your spine like a string of pearls, then stand with the weight in your hands.
    Repeat 2 sets of 12.
