Cuts And Grazes
Cuts and grazes
If a cut or graze is deep or severe, it's important to see your GP. For more minor cuts and grazes there's a lot you can do to help stop infection and speed up the healing process
Before cleaning wounds or applying dressings, don’t forget to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and, if possible, wear disposable gloves.
Clean the wound by rinsing it under cold running water and carefully wiping away any foreign materials such as dirt or gravel.
Don’t try removing anything that’s become embedded though – that should only be done by a medical professional.
Gently dry the area around the cut or graze.
Cover and protect the area with an Elastoplast SilverHealing plaster.
